FWIW, while the burden is heavy, the students I've talked to (recently!) in the hallways and classrooms have been thoughtful about this and looking for support from the university and professors to help them navigate doing the right thing. They have a vested and intense interest in learning and knowledge.

Next time you see a student studying or writing or practicing their presentation: tell them what they're doing is important. Let them feel seen.
